About Adam Fortney

Adam Fortney has served the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office for nearly 23 years, 12 of which he served as the Deputy Sheriff’s Association President. Adam served five terms as the DSA President, in which he was elected by the deputies and sergeants that serve in the Snohomish County Community.

Adam has lived in Lake Stevens since 2002, and is happily married to his wife Jill. Between the two of them they have eight children, three of which are at home finishing school.

Right out of high school, Adam joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. After his time in the Navy Adam settled right back in to Snohomish County. 

Adam Fortney cares deeply about this county and the communities within it. He has called Snohomish County home for almost his whole life and is ready to lead the way and see positive change for ALL citizens of Snohomish County.
